Faridabad Education Council (FEC) in association with Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) and Sarvodaya Hospital & Research Centre is organizing a two-day (May 24 & 25) Capacity Building workshop for Principals, Headmasters and Elementary School Headmasters of Faridabad District. 82 Principals and Headmasters attended the workshop on the first day.
Resource persons and experts from SCERT and other reputed organisations deliberated upon key issues including administration, good governance, leadership styles, academic excellence, use of ICT, finance management, auditing, report making, among others.
Mr Parmod Kumar, Project Officer, Department of School Education, Haryana; Dr. N C Wadhwa, Director General, MREI; Ms Anshu Singla, Senior Specialist Teacher, Education, SCERT; Dr. Ashwini Vashishth, Subject Specialist; Dr Manoj Kaushik, Subject Specialist; Sh Ajmer Singh, Subject Specialist; Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Director-Manav Rachna International Schools; Mr. D C Chaudhary, Advisor, Faridabad Navchetna Trust and Member, Governing Council, FEC were present on the occasion.
During the workshop, Mr. Parmod Kumar spoke with the participants on the role of the school management committee. Dr. N C Wadhwa shared the vision and objectives of the Faridabad Education Council and put forth the need for a huge social change through gradual and consistent efforts. He also shared that FEC is working on a five-year vision document to hand-hold 315 government schools of the region.
It is noteworthy that at a meeting held on March 16, 2019 under the chairmanship of Shri P K Das, IAS, ACS, School Education; the Faridabad Education Council had been mandated to provide support for the capacity building of government school teachers. This Capacity Building workshop is a step towards improving the quality of school education in Faridabad.
The second day of the workshop will be attended by elementary school headmasters.
